Description
Multiple Error 1999 Cent MS66 Red
Double Struck, 95% Obverse Indent
1999 1C Lincoln Cent--Double Struck, Second Strike 95% Obverse
Indent--MS66 Red NGC. The first strike was normal, but the
piece clung to the reverse die instead of being ejected. The second
strike is a broadstrike, with a newly fed planchet (not included)
between the obverse die and the present piece. This planchet caused
a 95% obverse indent, expanding and distorting the portrait of
Lincoln from the first strike. The reverse is cup-shaped from a
partial wrapping about the reverse die.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22K2, PCGS# 3154, Greysheet# 2319)
