Dramatic 1999 Cent Two-Piece Bonded Die Cap, MS63 Red
1999 1C Lincoln Cent--Two-Piece Bonded Die Cap--MS63 Red PCGS. A bold and dramatic error, one recognized and photographed by PCGS but not encapsulated due to dimensions. An obverse die cap for a 1999 cent formed, and then fused with the last cent struck with the die cap. The combined piece then fell off the die. The die cap is deep and crumpled, with a broad band of zinc-blue around the middle. Both the obverse and reverse figures show razor-sharp detail.Auction Info
