Foldover Strike on a Connecticut Quarter
1999-? 25C Connecticut Statehood Quarter--Foldover Strike--MS65 Uncertified. This Connecticut quarter was incorrectly fed between the dies, with a nearly vertical placement. The force of the strike bent the piece near its center. It folded over with an unstruck seam and a struck flat border. The edges of the piece show traces of the copper core. The left central third of the designs are present, with the mintmark off the flan.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 249M, PCGS# 5952, Greysheet# 5771)
