Description
1999-D 25C Delaware Statehood Quarter--Struck on a 5C Planchet--MS63 NGC. 5.0 grams. A desirable wrong planchet mint error, the planchet was intended for a Jefferson Nickel but was instead struck by Delaware Quarter dies. A satiny and bold piece that has a few minor marks on the lower half of the reverse. The obverse (the Statehood side) has an interesting strike-thru (as made) near Rodney's head, which is also a noteworthy mint error.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 249E, PCGS# 5945, Greysheet# 5767)
