Struck on a Nickel Planchet, MS64
1999-D Delaware Quarter--Struck on a Nickel Planchet--MS64
PCGS. Both date and mintmark are visible, though the former
could be determined solely by the design. On the obverse, parts of
AMERICA, WE TRUST, and DOLLAR are off the flan, and on the reverse,
much of DELAWARE is cut off. A great example of this popular
wrong-planchet error that is also linked to the momentous beginning
of the Statehood quarters.
