Spectacular Bonded Two-Piece Obverse Die Cap 1999 Dime
1999-P 10C Dime--Bonded Two-Piece Obverse Cap--MS66 ANACS. This is undoubtedly one of the most dramatic modern errors we have ever offered for sale. Two planchets were stuck together and struck by the dies many times. The pressure from the strikes spread out to the size of a Silver Dollar. The metal layers separated and the copper core shows brightly on the obverse side. A superior, eye appealing die cap.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23PA, PCGS# 5197, GSID# 4888)
