Reverse Die Cap 1999-P Nickel, MS68 Full Steps NGC
1999-P 5C Jefferson Nickel--Multi Struck with Obverse Indents--MS68 Full Steps NGC. This reverse die cap has a needle-sharp reverse and a tall 'cap' where the rim has wrapped around the reverse die. The obverse has a legible date and mintmark, and the portrait of Jefferson is apparent although he is faint and widely spread from multiple strikes against newly fed planchets (none of which are included). Lustrous and virtually immaculate with light golden-brown patina.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22XM, PCGS# 84144, GSID# 3464)
