Flipover Double Struck 1999-P Anthony Dollar
1999-P SBA$ Susan B. Anthony Dollar--Flipover Double Strike, Second Strike 60% Off Center--MS64 PCGS. After the first strike, this fascinating piece failed to fully eject from the die chamber. It did, however, manage to flip over between strikes. It was struck a second time, 60% off center past 1 o'clock relative to the obverse of the first strike. A newly fed blank intervened between this coin and the reverse die for the second strike. This off center flipover double strike of an obsolete design would be a highlight of any error collection.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 9581, GSID# 7987)
