Description
Filled Obverse Mintmark on a New Hampshire Quarter
2000-P 25C New Hampshire Quarter--Filled Die on the Mintmark (Obverse) AU58 PCGS. Similar to what happened to the 1922 No D Cents, this New Hampshire Quarter die clogged over the mintmark and it doesn't show, not even a trace. Slightly toned, the surfaces show a number of small nicks and abrasions from having been lightly handled in the channels of commerce for a brief period of time. A very unusual error and the first we have heard of.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 249W, PCGS# 5962, Greysheet# 5793)
