2001 Cent Struck Over a
2001-P Dime, MS63
2001 Lincoln Cent -- Struck on a 2001-P Dime -- MS63 NGC.
Potent luster sweeps across the lightly toned chestnut-gray
surfaces. Roosevelt gazes northwest relative to the portrait of
Lincoln. The cent date is bold, as is the dime mintmark. Only
traces of the dime date are present. The second strike stretched
this double denomination piece and exposed a section of the clad
layer on the reverse border at 4 o'clock, relative to the cent
strike.Ex: Bellaire Collection, Part Two (Heritage, 4/2006), lot 5276, which realized $747.50.
