    Description

2001-P New York Quarter Struck Four Times

2001-P 25C New York Statehood Quarter--Quadruple Struck, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th 20% Off Center--MS63 PCGS. The three latter impressions, which are off center at 8 o'clock, have warped the planchet at the rim in the opposite area. Double dates and mintmarks are at least discernible on their respective sides, and the otherwise champagne-gray and golden surfaces reveal freckled steel-gray overtones over that portion of the planchet that has been struck multiple times. An important bidding opportunity for the modern error specialist.
