Triple Struck, Second and Third
Strikes Widely Off Center
2001-P 25C North Carolina Quarter -- Triple Struck, Second and
Third Strikes 65% and 70% Off Center -- MS66 PCGS. Both the
date and mintmark from the first strike are present. The first
strike is normal and the next two strikes are widely off center
toward 4:30. The first impression shows a mint-made rim ding at 10
o'clock where the coin was lodged against an object (such as a
collar for a different die pair) during the second and third
strikes. Toned medium almond-gold.
