    Description

Triple Struck 1990s Jefferson Nickel on Feeder Finger

Circa 1999 Jefferson Nickel--Triple Struck on End of Feeder Finger--MS65 NGC. 1.1 grams. Feeder fingers were part of the mechanism to place blank planchets on the press. Apparently, the end of these fingers would break off once in a while and find their way to the press, where they would be struck just like any other planchet. The surfaces are mostly dark slate color with some traces of bright aluminum.
