Description
1908-1984 ANA Convention Memorabilia
1908-1984 ANA Convention Medals, Badges, and Bars. A fascinating set of ANA medals, badges, and bars from the estate of the late Lester Bernstein. Mr. Bernstein joined the ANA in 1935, and received member number 4,995. He attended each annual convention from 1939 through 1985, at which time he received his fifty-year membership medal. Mr. Bernstein died in October, 1994. He obviously took many years to assemble this collection of convention medals, and this is the most complete collection of such material we have seen or handled. The collection contains the following items, listed according to type.

The collection is housed in (11) 12x16 Riker Mounts with cotton backing. The clipping for the 1952 convention features a photograph of the banquet at the Statler Hilton in New York. Mr. Bernstein is shown seated at the front table with his son in the chair next to him. An exceptional collection of ANA material and a testimonial to the perseverance of a collector who knew what he wanted and was willing to take whatever amount of time was required to complete his goal.
