Description
Undated 1C Large Cent--Full First Strike Brockage Obverse--VF20 PCGS. A spectacular brockage error. A coin remained in the die after it was struck, and served as a die to a newly fed planchet. The 'obverse' is a reversed, incuse image of the reverse on the previously struck Cent. A Large Letters reverse variety, struck sometime between 1808 and 1834. The problem free surfaces have purple-brown patina.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 224Z, PCGS# 1591, GSID# 870)
