Off Center Virginia Statehood Quarter, Struck on a Planchet With a Straight Edge Clip
Undated 25C Virginia Quarter--26% Straight Edge Clip and Off Center--MS65 PCGS. The straight clip is located at the upper left hand side of the planchet. The impression was then executed off center at 5 o'clock. Although PCGS has certified this coin as "Undated," one can clearly see the date 2000 on the reverse. What is missing, however, is the mintmark, so we do not know whether this error originated in the Philadelphia or Denver Mint. Golden tinting yields to near-brilliance in a few isolated areas.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 249Y, PCGS# 5964, GSID# 5796)
