Die Adjustment Strike on a 40% Silver
PR63 San Francisco Kennedy Half
Undated 40% Silver S-Mint Kennedy Half -- Die Adjustment Strike
-- PR63 ANACS. Struck between 1968 and 1970 due to the
combination of alloy, mintmark, and design. The die adjustment
strike was too soft to bring up peripheral legends such as the
date, although portions of DOLLAR are visible. The glassy central
fields and the mintmark near the bust tip confirm proof status.
Toned medium golden-brown.Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 10/2008), lot 1117, which realized $1,150.
