Undated 5C Jefferson Nickel--Reverse Die Cap--MS66 NGC. This nickel has a die cap sufficiently thick that it barely fits within its NGC holder. The obverse shows an expanded, distorted, reversed image of Monticello, which suggests that during the first strike, the planchet rested between the obverse die and a previously struck coin.Auction Info
