    Undated Franklin Half Dollar
Struck on a Type One Cent Flan
    Gem Red and Brown

Undated Franklin Half -- Struck on a Type One Cent Planchet -- MS65 Red and Brown NGC. 3.07gm. E PLURIBUS UNUM is intact, though the date and mintmark areas are off the flan. Both sides display consistent light orange-red color, with navy-blue near the edges and hints of lilac on the high points. Portions of HALF and UNITED are present and exhibit stretching toward the border, characteristic of a wrong planchet error. The rims are not raised, indicating a Type One planchet that bypassed the upset mill.
