Undated Jefferson Nickel--Obverse Struck Through Round Object--MS63 NGC. Doubtless struck through a planchet, though whether cent or dime is unknowable; the former is perhaps more likely. Gold-toned with enough of the obverse obscured that the date and other potential markers (such as an obverse mintmark or the presence of the designer's initials) are completely obliterated.Auction Info
