Select 1787 Fugio Cent, New Haven Restrike in Silver
1787 1C Fugio Cent, New Haven Restrike, Silver MS63 PCGS. Breen-1344. Off-metal strikings of the so-called "New Haven Restrikes," actually minted from copy dies created in the 1860s, are highly elusive today. This piece offers strong detail despite a failing obverse die, evident in the slight convexity of that side. Both sides display delicate emerald, rose, and gold patina over subtly lustrous silver-gray surfaces. Listed on page 84 of the 2008 Guide Book.
