   Description
New Haven Restrike Fugio Cent
1787 Fugio Cent, New Haven Restrike MS 63 Red and Brown PCGS. In 1860, nearly 75 years after the Broome and Platt store originally struck Fugio cents, three pairs of original dies were discovered in the New Haven area. The newly discovered dies were used for the so-called restrikes, all of which exhibit traces of die rust. This specimen features red and brown central areas that lend their way to golden-red peripheral toning. Aside from a few spots on the obverse, the coin is problem-free. Listed on page 64 of the current Guide Book.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2B8S, PCGS# 917, Greysheet# 203)
