1787 Fugio Cent, STATES UNITED, 4 Cinquefoils, Pointed Rays, N.
11-X, W-6790, R.4, MS64 Brown PCGS. CAC. The vertical die crack
at 6 o'clock on the reverse identifies Newman's 'X' reverse,
associated with nice Mint State Fugio cents pedigreed to the Bank
of New York holdings. The hardy X reverse was paired with several
different obverse dies, with Newman 13-X comprising a majority of
examples. Newman 11-X is comparatively scarce, and usually shows
bold obverse clash marks, as on the present near-Gem. Noticeable
mint red accompanies protected areas, though a majority of the coin
is gunmetal-gray. Portions of MIND YOUR BUSINESS lack a full
