Choice Fine 1856 Flying Eagle Cent
1856 1C Fine 15 PCGS. Snow-3. A walnut-brown cent with ample wing feathers despite an extended stint in commerce. Many circulated examples of the 1856 Flying Eagle cent are from Snow-3 dies, since those pieces were struck for non-collectors, namely Washington officials and bureaucrats. Scarcer than the Snow-9 proofs made for collectors a few years after 1856. Encapsulated in a green label holder.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 2013, GSID# 15310)
