Description

1856 MS 61. Breen-1926. Both leaves high near the bases of C and T in CENT. Attractive golden-tan color with surfaces that, under close scrutiny, reveal wispy hairlines on either side. There is some minor roughness on the reverse rim just above 10 o'clock as well as a tear drop planchet flaw at the base of the wreath. This always popular transitional cent, despite its minor distractions, should encounter strong bidder interest.
