Description
Popular 1856 Flying Eagle Cent
1856 1C MS 60 Cleaned. The 1856 Flying Eagle is the first small cent in U.S. history and also one of only three issues to bear this design. It is also a coveted rarity with an original mintage of approximately 1,500 pieces. This boldly defined example is free of both wear and sizeable distractions. The surfaces are somewhat bright, probably from an old cleaning, but the color is an even, olive-tan shade.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 2013, GSID# 15310)
