Description
1856 Flying Eagle Cent
Lightly Circulated Key
1856 1C PCGS Genuine. Snow-9. The PCGS number ending in .92
suggests Cleaning as the reason, or perhaps one of the reasons,
that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin
has the details of a VF specimen that has been tooled in the
obverse fields and cleaned to remove contact marks. Much detail
remains, and the bronze-gold surfaces are moderately attractive to
the unaided eye. The 1 in the date is centered over a dentil, and a
center dot is below the upper left serif of the N in CENT, both
indications of the Snow-9 marriage.
