Description
Gem 1857 Flying Eagle Cent With Half Dollar Clash
1857 1C MS65 NGC. FS-003. Snow-9. Given a URS rating of 10 in the Cherrypickers' Guide, this interesting variety features a clashed obverse die from a Seated Half Dollar that is most clearly visible through AMERICA. The coin itself is boldly struck despite the clashing and displays attractive tan and pale orange colors. Surely one of, if not the finest known example of this dual type clash coin.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2276, PCGS# 2016, GSID# 15313)
