1857 Flying Eagle Cent, MS64
Boldly Detailed and Lustrous
1857 1C MS64 PCGS. A pleasing Choice example of this type
coin issue, showing satiny golden-tan luster and overall sharply
defined central devices. The coin is struck from clashed dies, and
a thin die crack runs through the eagle's tailfeathers, connecting
the border dentils from 5 to 3 o'clock on the obverse. Flying Eagle
cents of either 1857 or 1858 are seldom offered in MS64 with this
