1857 1C MS64 PCGS. In contrast to the large cent of the same year, which had a mintage of just over one-third of a million pieces, the 1857 Flying Eagle cent had a total production of 17.45 million circulation strikes, a staggering total for the time. This well-defined and carefully preserved example's mahogany surfaces show delicate, delightful orange-blossom accents.(Registry values: N1793)
