First-Year 1857 Flying Eagle Cent, MS65
1857 1C MS65 NGC. CAC. The first Flying Eagle cents released for circulation were dated 1857, and the last were struck the next year. This is a Gem example from the beginning of the short-lived business strike series, apricot-gold and orange with a slight dappled effect. A well-defined and smooth coin, housed in a prior generation NGC holder.
