Lustrous 1857 Flying Eagle Cent, MS65
1857 1C MS65 NGC. This attractive Gem displays intense fire-red and red-gold color on the obverse, with more muted mauve and brick-red toning across the reverse. Well struck with lustrous, distraction-free surfaces. The front wing has an interesting die scratch, as made. Seldom seen any finer. NGC has only certified 14 finer examples (2/10).From The Gateway Collection.(Registry values: N2998)
