Description
Gem 1857 Flying Eagle Cent
1857 1C MS65 NGC. The 1857 Flying Eagle cent is a popular 19th century type coin because of its availability in high grade. This attractive Gem displays coppery red surfaces, with strong mint luster, and few contact marks. The devices are sharply detailed in most areas, but the slightest touch of softness shows on the outer tail feathers. Only 14 coins have been certified in higher numeric grades by NGC (2/11).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2276, PCGS# 2016, GSID# 15313)
