1857 Flying Eagle Cent, MS65
Sharply Struck, Great for Type
1857 1C MS65 NGC. This is a lovely Flying Eagle cent that
would make an excellent type coin. The strike is strong on each
side, with none of the often-seen weakness on the eagle's
tailfeathers or reverse wreath. The underlying luster is bright and
sparkling and both sides have taken on a significant presence of
rich red patina.Ex: Stamford Coinfest Signature (Heritage, 10/2010), lot 3833.(Registry values: N2998)
