1857 Flying Eagle Cent, MS65
Vibrant Luster Over Bronze-Gold Surfaces

1857 1C MS65 PCGS Secure. Although collectors often pursue the 1856 Flying Eagle cent as the first-year issue, this 1857 cent actually represents the inaugural regular circulation strike in the series. Vibrant luster over carefully preserved bronze-gold surfaces delivers marvelous aesthetic appeal. A few microscopic ticks and coppery spots appear under a loupe. The wreath elements are fully struck. PCGS lists 19 finer grading events (3/18).(Registry values: N2998)
