Description
Almond-Tan Gem 1858 Large Letters Cent
1858 1C Large Letters MS65 NGC. High Leaves, Closed E. The rather light almond-tan field coloration on this impressive Gem produces an almost cameo effect against the slightly darker eagle and wreath devices on each side. The strike is bold in the centers, but the eagle's head and the tail feathers each show softness, as does much of the wreath. There are no singular marks.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 272V, PCGS# 2019, GSID# 15315)
