Description

1858 Flying Eagle Cent, MS65
Large Letters Variant

1858 1C Large Letters MS65 PCGS. High Leaves, Closed E in ONE. Much of the original "white" color of the copper-nickel alloy remains, but there is also a slight presence of reddish patina on the reverse. The strike details are strong, but not quite complete with the tail feathers of the eagle missing a bit of definition. The Flying Eagle series is a short but completable one for almost any collector.
