Attractive Peach Color

1858 1C Large Letters MS66 PCGS. High Leaves, Closed E in ONE. A predominantly peach-gold Premium Gem despite a hint of rose-red below the eagle's beak. Lustrous and unabraded with minimal carbon. The eagle has a full strike, and the wreath shows only minor blending on the left-side high points. Given that the 1856 issue is a pattern, the type was struck for commerce only two years. Population: 31 in 66 (1 in 66+), 2 finer (9/15).(Registry values: N4719)
