Description
Coveted Snow-1 1858/7 Cent, MS64
1858/7 1C MS64 PCGS. FS-301, formerly FS-006. Snow-1. A near-Gem representative of this ever-popular overdate, which has received recognition in the Guide Book. The variety has multiple diagnostics besides the fragment of the 7 above and to the right of the second 8 in the date; a raised dot also appears above the first 8, and the tip of the eagle's wing is "broken" by die polishing. In addition, the right upper wreath on the reverse is weak. This example has bright luster and charming color with considerable apricot and pale orange. Marks are few, even by Choice standards. Population: 24 in 64, 5 finer (7/09).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2276, PCGS# 2022, Greysheet# 15322)
