1857 Flying Eagle Cent, MS65
First Year of Regular Issue
1857 1C MS65 PCGS. Soft mint luster issues from tan-gold
surfaces. Each side is incompletely struck from clashed and cracked
dies, but there are virtually no marks to report on this Gem Flying
Eagle cent from the first year of regular issue. While nearly 17.5
million coins were minted, only 23 examples are graded numerically
finer at PCGS (5/19).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2276, PCGS# 2016, Greysheet# 15313)
