    Description

1858 1C Large Letters MS64 PCGS. This Choice Mint State 1858 Large Letters Flying Eagle cent is housed in a Generation 1.2 PCGS "Rattler" holder that was in use from February 1986 to September 1989. A white foam gasket was intended to hold the coin in place, although it has rotated one-eighth turn to the left. The coin has pale golden-tan surfaces with faintly reflective fields and traces of iridescent luster. Scattered carbon flecks are evident on both sides. This is an attractive piece for the early small cent enthusiast or the PCGS holder collector.(Registry values: N1793) (NGC ID# 2277, PCGS# 2019)
