Louis XIII gold Ecu d'or du Dauphine 1642Z (Grenoble), Quartered arms of France and Dauphine/Floriated cross, F-403, Gad-56, Dup-1291, Ciani-1599, 3.34 gm, XF with a small obverse ding by the edge at 10 o'clock. Possibly the rarest type of all Louis XIII coinage. Only 3-4 pieces are known of this date. Ex. Couturier, Paris, April 7-10, 1930, lot 566. Ex. Barbier, May 4-6, 1936, lot 385. Ex.
