Louis XVI Ecu 1790BB, D-1333, R-8/21, 29.22g, XF45 NGC. Strasbourg mint. The second rarest Royal Ecu, with only Lyon being rarer. Sobin only had one specimen of this type/mint. The 1790 is the most available Royal Ecu/Strasbourg/date. Lustrous surfaces. Only the very slightest hint of adjustment marks. Well-struck on a broad flan. Superb for this very scarce type/mint.From the Grundy Collection.
