Napoleon III gilt-bronze Specimen Pattern Medallic 5 Francs 1870 SP65 PCGS, cf. Maz-1749a (in silver), cf. VG-3758 (in silver). Reeded edge. A satirical issue previously offered in silver and bronze, never before seen gilt. Presumed extremely scarce, the lack of distraction in the fields and an even sheen of luster cements this possibly unique piece as a perfect Gem.
