Philippe VI de Valois gold Ange d'or ND (1328-50), 3rd emission, June 26, 1342, Crowned angel with shield, dragon at feet/Floriated cross in quadrilobe, crowns in angles, F-273, Dup-255B, Ciani-277, 5.81 gm, lustrous, Choice AU. A few faint handling marks with a slightly irregular strike. Extremely rare, and one again, the first example that we have seen. Ex. Sotheby's, Geneva, November 11, 1985, lot 9.
