Republic gold 100 Francs 1899-A MS64★ NGC, Paris mint, KM832, Gad-1137, Fr-590. Mintage: 10,000. An impressive survivor dressed in a lightly rose-tinted hue, and fields brimming with delicate die polish lines providing a superb canvas for the beloved Genie that emerges with attractively shimmering frost. Marks noted above the Gallic rooster and on the reverse around the date cap the grade from attaining loftier heights, nonetheless the selection at hand soars above its peers in the combined census and is presently the sole highest certified example known.From the KJR Collection
