Description

Napoleon III gold 100 Francs 1868-BB MS62 PCGS, Strasbourg mint, KM802.2, Gad-1136, Fr-581, F-551. Mintage: 789. The scarcest date of the Napoleon III laureate series. Extraordinarily difficult to locate in a higher grade as we often see signs of cabinet friction or handling on the type, yet this satiny, lustrous piece certainly merits consideration for Choice as there is a relative paucity of meaningful abrasions.

Metal: Gold
Diameter: 35mm
Weight: 32.2581g
