1948 Franklin Half Dollar, MS67+
CAC-Approved Full Bell Lines Example

1948 50C MS67+ Full Bell Lines PCGS. CAC. The Franklin design was introduced on the half dollar in 1948 and the Philadelphia Mint struck a well-made production of just over 3 million pieces. Today, the issue is decidedly elusive at the MS67 grade level, with the Full Bell Lines designation, and only one coin has been certified finer by either of the leading grading services (11/23). This delightful Superb Gem offers sharply detailed design elements throughout. The impeccably preserved surfaces radiate vibrant mint luster, with highlights of sea-green and amber toning. Overall eye appeal is terrific and the high quality within the grade is confirmed by CAC. This coin should find a home in the finest collection or Registry Set. Population: 51 in 67 (12 in 67+) Full Bell Lines, 1 finer. CAC: 12 in 67, 0 finer (11/23).(Registry values: N4719)
