Description
1948-D Franklin Half, MS67 Full Bell Lines
None Numerically Finer
1948-D 50C MS67 Full Bell Lines PCGS. The Denver and
Philadelphia Mint were given the honor of the inaugural issue of
Franklin halves, though 1948 would be the lowest mintage of the
series at the Denver Mint. This boldly struck example displays
enveloping tones of coppery-red and some olive-green toning, with
just a peek of the silver luster emerging. There are some minute
abrasions along Franklin's hair, though they prove nondetrimental
to the eye appeal.(Registry values: N7079)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24SS, PCGS# 86652, Greysheet# 6821)
