Description

1950 Franklin Half Dollar, MS67
Superb Full Bell Lines Example

1950 50C MS67 Full Bell Lines PCGS. While 1950 Franklin halves are frequently encountered in lesser grades and are almost always sharply struck, the Superb Gem population is meager. Rick Tomaska suggests that because no mint sets were issued in 1950, the percentage of high-grade 1950 Franklins is low. Neither service has seen any examples finer than the MS67 level, although a pair of Plus-graded coins are known. This frosted and lustrous coin displays brilliant silver luster across untoned, needle-sharp surfaces. There are no significant imperfections of note and the eye appeal is terrific. Population: 20 in 67 (2 in 67+) Full Bell Lines, 0 finer (3/18).(Registry values: N4719)
